As Fanshawe College celebrates 50 years in the community, they are looking back at past alumni and profiling their successes. We were thrilled that Wastell Homes’ President, Doug Wastell was asked to share his sentiments about the College where he got his start!

After enrolling in the Business Marketing program at Fanshawe College, Doug began to recognize that much of what he was learning could have very tangible implications for his family’s small construction business.

The principles and practices learned in the program helped Doug propel the family business to what it is today – London Builder of the Year (4 times!), and the only London builder hand-selected by Mike Holmes for the “Holmes Approved Homes” accreditation.
